Weight loss speed and goals

Hello all, I have surgery January 17th. I set a goal to get 100 lbs off.. within a year, year and a half.. to be around 180.
I'm interested in your goal weight or amount you lose or have lost, how long you give yourself to reach the goal or how long it took to reach your goals.

Thanks
I would love to here the answer to this question as well,

Hello all, I had surgery on 12/21/16. Prior to surgery my insurance required six months with a dietician. I started with a weight of 320. During my six months I got down to 283, from there I had my preop diet for two weeks that brought me to my surgery weight of 275. Today I weighed in at 261. I am currently on a full liguid diet. I will be starting a pureed/soft food custom the 12th. Currently I am only able to eat about three inches of food at a time. I am just now starting to realize when my new sleeve is hungry. I never had any issues getting my water intake. The only uses I had after surgery is horrible acid reflux which I am taking Omep. for. I have always had issues with gerd. After surgery I also suffered from extreme nausea. Thank God for zofran. I still have to use zofran as I still get nausea after taking my meds (probably because I have no food in my stomach or not enough). I also still get nausea every once in awhile from certain odors like coverage smoke or diesel fuel to give a few examples. I have however conquered my first goal, which was to be off all insulin and diabetic pills. Now I have to watch and make sure my sugar does not fall to low. To control? My sugar from dropping I either sip on apple juice (mixed 50-50 with water) or I use chocolate milk (sugarfree Nesquick with 2% failure milk). Hope this helps someone. I have given myself one year to reach my goal.

Hi....I was sleeved on 29 Dec 16. My goal weight is 130 lbs. My surgery weight was 235lbs. After 3 days in the hospital receiving IV fluids my discharge weight was 247lbs. Today I am down to 220lbs. I am also giving myself a year to reach my goal weight with my reward being a trip to Jamaica! I have been there twice but always as the fat friend who ate and drank too much, who never got asked to dance and too embarrassed to participate in activities. I wish us all well on our journey!

I'm hoping for at least 80 or more, I don't remember the last time I have ever been under 200, still curious as to how it all just starts.

I hope to lose 120 lbs. total. I'm going on vacation May 20th so I hope to lose at least 20 more lbs. by then. I've already went through my closet and got rid of all the clothes that are too big. Some I couldn't wear before fit now. That's a great feeling. My goal is to get to a size 12. I haven't been that size in forever.

My goal weight is 170. I started at 363 and with pre and post op weight loss, I am now at 280.8. My surgery was 12/6/16. Because I had 193# to lose, I gave myself 1 1/2 yrs to reach that goal. If things continue as they have, I may reach my goal weight sooner, but I'm not putting any pressure on myself. I did that for too many years and it got me nowhere. As for reward, I don't have an end of the road reward yet. My goal since I started this journey was to lose as much weight as possible for my vacation to Hawaii on April 1. I'm VERY happy with where I am. Along with the weight loss, I have gone down 2 sizes in my clothes.

Vacation weight loss is a good goal. Where are you going on vacation? It is a great feeling to clear out clothes. I have one closet down. Now on to the main closet and my drawers

Can I ask you did you all of a sudden start loosing weight or have you done a lot of exercising? I think I'm just not knowing when to expect things to get going. I have lost all the fluid weight they put on me in the hospital, so from the time I started with doc before pre-op have lost 15 lbs. I guess I'm not sure what to expect. I know one thing is I'm just so tired all the time. The Doc has finally got the pain under control. Thank God!

I'm glad your pain is under control!!! In the beginning, my weight loss was slower than I expected. I found myself getting discouraged. After the first month I started losing on a consistent level. I wasn't able to exercise until after month 2, but my weight loss did increase. As for the tiredness, are you taking your vitamins and getting in all of your protein? I get tired when I haven't.

Glad to hear I'm normal as far as the weight loss starting right off, I'm trying to not get discouraged. I'm getting almost 60 grams of protein and trying to increase it more and more. Want to get to 80 grams. Good Luck To you.

That's great that you are getting in 60g of protein. I really struggle with that.
