1 month post op - Gastric Sleeve

I'm having a rough time guys.

I had my gastric sleeve a month and 4 days ago. I've been hospitalized for dehydration for a 3 day span and now I'm hope fighting to get water in to keep from returning to that place. Everything comes up water (yes I take small sips, very small), protein drinks (they actually make me nauseated even the clear ones), etc.
I'm scheduled to get egd in a week. In the mean time I'm scared I'll wake up bald because I can't keep anything down.

Any tips.

Did they at least give you nausea and vomitting meds? There is a kind that you dissolve under the tongue. Doesn't taste as bad as nitroglycerin but it can be effective. I will try to find some answers in my guide book. In the meantime relax and all that. Stress will make it worse. You know...butterflies.

My body basically rejected both surgeries and my reaction was severe nausea 24/7. Zofran is a tiny dissolvable pill you can put under the tongue once every 8 hours, been doing this for 5 months now. I was also on a patch for the first 4 months after surgery - the Scopolamine patch is the same type of patch prescribed to people that get air sick on flights. It inhibits the gag reflex when you eat or drink something. The patch is worn in 3 day cycles. I can tell you they work really well, about 85% of the time for me. Thankfully, my body is not so ticked off anymore and I've been able to stop using the patches, but I still have triggers and overall nausea most of the time. Things are getting better but it's taking awhile. I hope the EGD finds the issue and they can resolve it for you! In the meantime, I hope they give you something that helps! Oh, and eat Jello if you can. Carolyn says it helps with hair loss. :)

Thank you so much! It's hard to keep the jello down, but I'll keep trying. Yes, the EGD has revealed that I need to revisit the table.. twisted tummy.
