I'm excited, nervous and did I mention excited? Having SIPS (DS with single anastomosis). I'm doing the liver cleanse now and am slightly struggling with the taste and consistency of the Bariatric Advantage shakes. Anyone else?
 
I tried one during the cleanse phase as well, yuck. ;) Most of the shakes were just gross to me, either too thick or too thin, and the flavors were ...ugh... especially the Isopure ones, eek! Shakes didn't improve much after surgery. I was able to tolerate the nectar proteins before surgery, however afterwards they were too sweet for me, and still are. :( I ended up primarily using unflavored protein powder in the broths and soups instead. Congrats on your DS! I have few friends that had the DS about two years ago, and they are doing amazingly well! I hope the surgery is a complete success for you! Welcome to the group! :)
 
I had my DS surgery 11 days ago. I now how you feel. I did great the day after surgery, but got sick when i went. I had to spend a total of 4 days in hospital, but afterwards I've been okay and doing well. The apple green isopure was good while in hospital and i love Jello strawberry sugar free. My taste buds have change and its a challenge during the liquid phase but it is almost over. Im excited for you, i know you will do well.
