Liquid diet normally is 2 weeks after surgery and then puree foods for a week then on to soft foods for a week or 2 depending then you graduate to regular food. Or at least that what i did along with some others on here.... Call your docs office and ask them, Im' sure they will say go to puree...
I can eat pizza with out gaining but full after 3/4 to 1 piece... As long as it is moderation you should be good. If indulged in pizza everyday i am sure i would regret it.. I do tolerate pastas well so I stay away, I haven't tried any sugar and don't plan to, would hate to get the dumping...
I have my stalling moments to. It will start up again just keep exercising/moving... It is maddening to stall... I am in a stall now have been for a few weeks.. I am just ramping up what I have been doing to kick start it again. I am only 30 lbs from my goal. I think of it as my body challenging...
Hope everything leveled out for you. I had the RNY and if I eat to much i'll feel sick and in pain... I have to lean over to get some comfort, sometime some comes up and sometimes it take a bit to calm down...
I was able to stop wearing mine quickly after surgery... Glad you are doing well... I am going on 5 mths post op... Close to 100 lbs down.... Hope you do well..
Just a question, Has any one had issues with their eye sight after surgery? Seems or at least I noticed my eye sight has deminished... Have to wear reading glasses to see things. Went to the eye doctor and I now have bifocals.... forgot to ask him if the surgery could have anything to do with...
The liquid diet suxs no matter what... Every time I got to a point I wanted to eat I went for a walk to clear my head.... and it helped... Ice pops help to the sugar free ones it counts as liquid and give you something to do and nibble on......Wish you the best of luck....
I do not agree with that.. I have had the RNY bypass about 4 mths ago and I still have no real hunger or cravings.. From what I have read a lot have head hunger or head cravings... I have but if you stop and think about it you don't really want anything, your boredom eating.... Slipping back...
I feel your pain, the liquid diet is very hard to do... I had to do that in feb.... But I am down 88 lbs since the start of my journey... Went from size 42 pants to a size 34 so far.... Keep the thought of the new you... It will be well worth it....
Damn I have been down for a week with gout in my big toe. Can't walk. Finally on the meds to clear it up. Now maybe in a couple of days I can get back to exercising....
Well I'm now in size 34... Down from 42's. But weight loss will be slow to none do to about of gout... Can't stand let alone walk.... But still working it...
