    Furry Teeth

I checked with my dietician about chewing gum and she said as long as it's sugar free and I don't swallow, it's no problem. I don't swallow, so I'm chewing away! Helps stave off cravings!:)

    Staying on Track

I'm a little concerned and need advice. I'm about 2-1/2 months out from surgery and am losing weight on a consistent basis... about 5 or 6 pounds a week. My "problem" is that I think I'm eating too much. I'm supposed to be eating a little more than 1/4 cup per meal at this point, and 1 or 2...

    I'm hungry!!!

My nutritionist and the info given to me has NEVER mentioned calories. I just know that at 3 months out, my max intake per meal is supposed to be 1/4 cup.... which isn't much! I could eat a full cup now with no problem, and that's the max for 1 year according to my plan. That's why I'm a...

Thanks everyone! Doc said it's no unusual to have this problem soon after surgery. Nutritionist said to drink cool, not cold or iced water, not use a straw and to slow down. All of those have helped.

I'm finding towards the end of the day, water upsets my stomach... has this happened to anyone else? I add Crystal Lite and that helps, but not always. I'm 2 weeks post-op. Other than that, I've had no problems!!

    Gas-x and Fitness Pal

Why Gas-X? I have surgery next week, so I 'm curious. Why do you need so much Gas-X? What makes you gassy?

To Tell or not to Tell

At first, I didn't want anyone to know... I was ashamed it got to this point. Then, about 10 months ago, I brought the subject up in a meeting at church and I was flooded with compassion and support. It's taken 10 months to get to this point -- 1 week from surgery. I told my kids and my mom...
