    Update on status of surgery

The surgeon's reasoning about the diabetes and blood pressure was that I have had both for a long time (and was for a long time a bad diabetic in eating habits and such) and he didn't feel that the surgery would take it completely away (like I wanted it to) but that it would probably decrease...

    Update on status of surgery

After undergoing the pre-surgical testing, heart/lung capacity/upper GI/physiological, it was determined by the surgeon that I was too great a risk for surgery at this time. He felt I was at risk by 10% and that was too great a risk in his opinion to take with my life. I agreed and seeing as...

I finally got the results back from PET scan and the cardiologist said there there is no heart damage and no blockage and that everything looked good for surgery. I have my 2nd consult with the surgeon on Thursday of this coming week so will be anxious to hear what he says.

Today I went for an upper GI in prep for the surgery. I was not looking forward to this at all but it turned out to be easier than I imagined it. Isn't that always the case. Tomorrow I have to go talk with a nutrionalist (I don't think spelling is correct). I have been doing the protein...
