lost only 45 and almost two years later struggling to keep that off and lose more!

Everybody's metabolism is different. Whenever I want to drop weight I go on salad with white meat chicken diet twice a day and an egg for breakfast. I need to go back on it and it will kick me into weight loss mode. Try different foods or go on a liquid diet for a few days. Good luck...

    Ulcer

I had 2 ulcers in the past. It felt to me like my stomach was on fire, burning at times when I had an empty stomach and burning after I ate certain foods or drink. Soda especially seemed to bother me, I guess it was the carbonated water that irritated it. The doctor had me take Prilosec for...

Life is always an uncertainty but they do this surgery laparoscopically and I had a really easy recovery. It was much less painful and much faster healing than I ever anticipated. It's natural to feel uneasy and afraid but you will be fine. Just make sure you have a Bariatric Surgeon of...

Good luck tomorrow! I've heard cramberry juice will release water weight but it does have calories so I'm not sure if that would be good. Take your shoes off and wear very light weight clothing to the weigh in. 2 lb is very close to your goal, you're just ounces away! Cheyenne

    Stomach/Back Ache

Do you still have your gallbladder? I had terrible stomach pain when my gallbladder was acting up. My stomach burnt like it was on fire. Gallbladder problems can cause other problems with your liver. I had a gallstones blocking my liver duct. I would get to the doctor asap. It could be very...

    Constipation

WELCOME TO THE FORUM! Glycerin supositories helped me a lot. I used 2 at a time. Metamucil helped me too. I had that problem for a full year til I modified my diet to include fruit. Adding fruit has cut down my weight loss to a snail's pace so I don't recommend it. Cheyenne

Still little loss post surgery; going out of my mind

Hi Gaye! Don't get discouraged, when you do drop weight it will probably be a good amount all at once. At 25 days I ate baked white fish. I ate tuna and salmon in a little Miracle Whip. I ate eggs. I wasn't allowed to have meats until 7 wks. I ate applesauce and cottage cheese. The protein keeps...

WELCOME Anna to the Forum!!! I live in the same state as my surgeon but 2 hours away. There were closer surgeons but I chose this doctor based on his record and 5 star patient satisfaction. 3 1/2 hours is a very long way but I wouldn't think riding that far after surgery would be all that...

    I need some support HELP!!!

I actually went online and found an article called "Goodbye Gastric Bypass.. Hello Sips" It says Sips is the newest and best new weight loss surgery and will replace the bypass and goes into detail why it's superior.. I still would be a little nervous because your surgeon has never done this...

    I need some support HELP!!!

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!! Your surgeon wants you to be a test subject for his new kind of surgery. Ask him what are the benefits of this surgery over the gastric bypass? Because you are a test subject is the operation free? Lol. Probably not. If you have insurance that wouldn't matter anyway...

Debbie, My weight also does that thing of gain and lose water weight significantly if I am not really careful to watch the sodium in my diet. I never salt anything but sometimes I eat something from a restaurant or bring home and eat processed frozen food. Taking Lasix helps me a lot but it...

    12 Days until Surgery

Hi Debbie! I have read that some others have had a drain. My incisions were closed. I had a little piece of tape over my 2 wounds and don't think I saw any stitches at all. My incisions were tiny and I never had a speck of problems with them. Pain was minimal like a 2 out of 10. Of course you...
