    Gas can be quite painful. I was very lucky not to have gas pains in my stomach at all.     My operation was done laparoscopically. My soreness lasted about a month. I never really had the bad pain I was expecting. I was on pain meds for a week then didn't need it anymore. Cheyenne

    Hi Red Roses! WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!! Sounds like something may be wrong. Have you made an appointment with your surgeon? At the very least call him. You can't know what the problem is just by guessing. Dehydration from throwing up can be life threatening. Let us know what he says.. Cheyenne
