I do not believe there is any diet that works permanently for people. If there was, why do the surgery/? We've all tried "everything" and surgery is usually a last chance.
My insurance did not require anything except co=morbidities. Then they were good to go with the surgery. Of course, I have tri-care (military retired), which is the best you can have.
I think most of us were tired of the co-morbidities. I know I was. After bi-lateral knee replacement I knew I had to do something. I had remarried to someone who sees the "skinny girl" in me and loves me for who I am. That has been a great suppor.
