You might want to start few of your post bariatric vitamins early. You can get gummies for overall vits and chewable calcium. Check out your local Walmart, K=mart etc for them.
So glad to see your post. I was really tired until I started taking 500mg B 12. Now, I am feeling the exact same way as you do. And I work out about 45 minutes, 5 days a week of more. Working out does help, and its great for losing weight. Am about a week and a little before surgery and am...
so glad things are progressing ell. I'm so excited about my surgery which is Dec 11. How long were you in the hospital? Hope you are better and better every day
sounds good
Wow, your rooms sounds great. I have no idea what mine will look like. I will as them. Also don't know about nutritionists. I just figured I'd put it all in a blender. I hope that will work. Mine has a puree button on it. They claim I will go home on puree food. I hope that works.
Way cool
Thanks so much for letting me know what happened. My pre-op is Dec 2 and I hope I am as lucky! It's good to know that the drink they tried to sell me isn't something that is required or offered everywhere.
I have invested in samples etc and about a years worth of vitamins and...
Good luck to you tomorrow and let me know what happens! I am lucky that I not only got a excellent bariatric surgeon, but he is also a critical care and general surgeon. Let me know if they try to upsell you as well.
All I can say is test, test, test. I had a upper GI CT scan and they discovered I had gall stones. I will have my gal bladder out when I have my bariatric surgery. Its a 2 fer....... regarding pain, hospitalization, and costs. I think, just get it out of the way!
Hi!
Just finished my last appointment and surgery scheduled for Dec. 11. Just wondering.....
The nutritionist tried to sell me 4 cartons of immune therapy drink for $58. It was to be taken 4 days from surgery. I think this was a bit inappropriate and it felt like they were experimenting...
Not everyone gets the dumping syndrome. But what he is eating is not a good thing. Does he have a surgery visit scheduled? Maybe you can convenience him to make an appointment?
Yeah!
It is an exciting time! I hope all goes well for all of us. Have you stocked up on puddings and shakes? If not, don't forget to start out with samples from everywhere you can get them. Sometimes they cost a little bit (about $20), but it is sure better than getting a lot of something...
Welcome to the forum momadukes. I actually have the opposite problem. My husband is helpless in the kitchen and my surgery is in 4 weeks. Help! What can I do to not be tempted? Any ideas are welcomed..... other than teaching him how to cook. tried, not gonna happen .
take along
Can you take a little something along that you will be able to eat? Maybe a Jello salad or Jello and fruit desert? "as a Thank You for Inviting me"...
I understand that. I also have the fear that something will happen. But just look to see how far you have come. Your determination has carried you to this place. Hang in there. Do what you think is right. Listen to what people say, then do your own thing.
