I had my surgery done in Rochester, MN. I find it interesting that Minnesota has no face to face support groups (that I have been able to find anyway). My journey is new to me, but I am excited about it so far. I am down 27# since surgery and am starting the soft diet this week :). I was excited...

Greetings Mary...and welcome to the forum. The feelings you are having are all normal, we here have all had them, so you are not alone. One thing I want you to think about is how food has controlled you. WE ate when, where, how much, and what whenever you wanted to...even when you weren't...

This recipe starts with a half gallon of milk (I used skim), but I wanted to start out small, so I used 4 c. of skim. I also added 2/3...

    Pureed Meat

I tried one last time today to try and eat some pureed Meat. I can't do it! The texture, plus the taste when I eat it gives me the "willies"! I have tried mixing it with soups and even mashed potatoes....but nothing can hide it. I am thinking of trying to eat some just cut up, slowly and...

need help with my daughter's struggles with self esteem/loose skin

Sounds like it is time for some more therapy mom. Reconnect with whomever she saw pre-surgery and ask for some recommendations. Only she can change how she feels about herself.
