My BMI is 36 and when I asked the coordinator today she said she only uses my first BMI from today.

After my initial visit with the surgery coordinator today, I am all ready jumping through hoops but it's all worth it! I'm set up with the dietitian for my supervised diet , my PCP ran all of the blood tests, ekg and chest xray today. I have a gallbladder ultrasound on Monday. I have the dates...

Does anyone know how insurance companies look at pre-surgical weight loss? Seeing in the beginning of my journey I qualify for everything but what if I lose too much? Will they still go ahead with the surgery or does my ins. co. no longer cover it?

My appointment with the nurse coordinator is tomorrow morning. I am extremely excited. Going over my ins. I see all the criteria that I need to meet, which I do. I see what needs to be done by the time I have the surgery. It looks like September may be my month. I'm trying not to get my hopes up...
