What type of protein shake do you use? What is your favorite?

Do you use the protein drinks just during the first 3 months?

A little birdie just told me that today's your birthday. I just wanted to wish you a great one.

Coming up on my two year anniversary and I still feel inferior to everyone!

Spanx is a great idea for belly and side flab. I was exploring the internet and ran across another website for post gastric surgery patients. It's called "Lipo in a Box". They offer all kinds of clothing to hide the humps and bumps.

Coming up on my two year anniversary and I still feel inferior to everyone!

Wow!!! You really gave me a reality check and a good kick in the butt - just what I needed. I'd thought about the Spanx idea. Are they hot to wear, and do they really help to hide the flab? I live in Florida, so the temperature really gets hot. What is a full-coverage bra? I've got big...

Coming up on my two year anniversary and I still feel inferior to everyone!

I have a question. After I have the gastric bypass, I hope to lose 100 pounds (or a little more). Am I likely to end up with loose skin losing that amount of weight? I'm 61 years old and already have small wrinkly "wings" beneath my upper arms. I also have a huge flap in my tummy area from...

    Update update

That's very good information to have. I thank you for it. Now, I can approach Unjury and see if their product "comes through".

Blood test and vitamins - BIG WARNING to all newbies

Believe me - I'm not afraid of needles. I've had enough blood work over the years to satisfy any hungry vampire. I've also had several spinal injections due to me back problems. The needles are longgggggggggggg. They're not exactly a walk in the park, but they're far from being unbearable...

Blood test and vitamins - BIG WARNING to all newbies

It sounds like I'm getting ahead of myself. I'll wait until I see the nutrionist. It's good to know, too, that the complete blood workup is only done twice a year. Thanks so much. Barb...

Blood test and vitamins - BIG WARNING to all newbies

Okay, my interest is perked. I'm planning to use Unjury vitamins even pre-surgery once I see the nutritionist. I'm also planning to begin taking Unjury's protein products at that time. Which vitamins do I need to take? How often should my doctor order blood work and what bloodwork should he...

    Anyone else going through this?

I'm impatient and want to have the surgery "today". I'm finding myself snacking more in the evening than ever before. I can't believe it, but I put a face on this message, and the program wiped out almost all of the message. That's the way things are going in my life right now. The...

    Update update

I recommend that you definitely change doctors. Your medical records can be forwarded to your new doctor. All you have to do is sign a release. Do you really want an incompetent doctor on your case if you become real sick?

    Update update

I'm a little confused, because I'm still new. I thought the Unjunny (spelled wrong) drinks (and their other products) were:confused: supposed to have all the protein a person needs per day. Am I wrong? Barb...

    Update update

My husband and I moved to Florida about a year and a half ago, so my PCP doesn't have a long medical history on me. I couldn't even talk him into prescribing Phentermine. He thought I should magically lose weight by dieting and exercising which has never worked due to some of the medicines I...

    Anyone else going through this?

My husband and I have had a consult with the surgeon, started the insurance pre-authorization process with the doctor's office insurance coordinator, and I've had my blood work. Week after next, my husband and I have a 2-hour consult with the psychologist and see the nutritionist the same day...

    Anyone else going through this?

I'm really glad to hear that news - the not losing weight news. I'd been stressing out on that one. Do you stay hungry for that time period? Do you have to give up coffee, too? I've heard that but don't know if it's true. I drink it with 0 calorie creamer, but it does have a few carbs.

    Hair loss

I saw my Dermatologist yesterday and asked the question about hair loss. He told me that "some" people have the problem but not everyone. In any case, it will grow back. I also asked him if there was a prescription or non-prescription medicine on the market that would cause your hair to get...

    Anyone else going through this?

Do all doctors require you to go on a one or two week diet prior to surgery? Nothing's been mentioned to me about it, yet. If I have to lose 3 or 4 pounds prior to surgery, I'm sunk. Due to medicines that slow my metabolism and cause weight gain, losing weight is nearly an impossibility.

    Question...hanging skin?

I have along the front part of my body what I'll call "the flapper" from bearing children. It's a combination of loose skin with fat mixed into it. Is that likely to reduce in size after I've lost my weight? Also, will working out help to reduce it?

Thanks for the information. I'm going to get a copy of my lab work and read your article. I can use all the information I can get.
