    Six days post op

Glad you made it through. I had my roux-en-Y surgery and gallbladder removal on Monday as well. You are not alone. Still so so so sore on my left side also. But I'm up and walking three times a day for 20 min each time. Walk as much as you can. It seems to relieve some of the gas pains. I...

No date yet, but I'm getting closer!

Hi KellyMarie, just had my surgery on Monday. Its normal to be afraid of surgery, but nowadays its more risky to have a natural childbirth than to have bariatric surgery. So hang in there.

new from Texas and tired of these shakes

Hi Tammy, I just had my roux-en-Y surgery on Monday, and I currently have to choke down 3 protein drinks per day also. Look forward to when I can add more protein food, and cut down on the drinks. Hang in there, you are not alone. :)

What did I do to myself?

Surgery was easy, two day hospital stay was extremely uncomfortable. Now that I'm home, things are slowly improving. Lots of gas, sore from stomach manipulation on the left side (feels like someone beat on my left side stomach with a baseball bat), bored from being stuck in my apt, but things...

    3 surgeries in 1...feeling regret :-(

I had gallbladder removal along with my roux-en-Y on Monday. I have moderate pain, I'm guessing most of it is from the gallbladder removal. I have liquid hydrocodone that I take at certain times ( I take it just before I go walking, in the morning before I get up out of my recliner, and at...

What did I do to myself?

I had roux-en Y on Monday, and feel somewhat the same. But my dietician said I could have smashed up cottage cheese (thinned of course). I add garlic powder, lowrys seasoning salt and pepper. This is my salt fix.

    Powder vitamins making me nauseous

I take flintstones complete. I am currently waiting on new dentures, so I crush one between two wooden spoons and mix with cold water. I actually like the taste of it.

    Surgery Done!

Thank you, Newagewriter. So far I am walking several times a day, trying to get my 64oz of drinks in, trying to eat 5-6 times daily, 3 protein shakes a day, and keeping track of my supplements. Lol, I already feel overwhelmed. Things are going fine. Still somewhat sore, but not letting that...

Thanks, Nana, and yes I knew ahead of time that my gallbladder would be removed as I had gall stones and removing it was one of the conditions of my rny surgery. :)
