Everyone is different but it happens. I would stay away from pork for now. It happened to me the first time I tried bread. It is usually form eating to fast and not chewing. What worked for me when it happened, lean back and breathe deep, try to relax. Don't drink water, it makes it worse...
Mine thinned, it was thin to start with, the worse was at about 5 months, but really it is no big deal. Stick with the protein and vitamins. I would have gone bald to feel this much better, lol.
I use Costco premium. I used Costco chewable kids vitamins right after surgery, dinosaurs I think. I am 54 and sort of enjoyed them. Best of luck tomorrow, I am proud of you. You will have some bad moments but in 6 months you won't believe how good you feel. Sending you my best.
It sounds like you are doing very well. I had a similar experience, and it seems it was all for the best. Please keep us posted, you have taken the first step.
Anyone seeking help and information is not a dummie, and it is a good book. I bought a copy and have paid it forward to two others who were getting ready for the surgery. It is good and has good recipes for our cooks out there.
I wanted the bypass but had some issues with my anatomy so it wasn't the best. Had the sleeve and have not looked back. Remember it is a tool. We will all have to watch what we eat for the rest of our lives, but it is a good tool. I think sleeve patients may not loose as fast after the first...
Go for it girl. Pamper yourself and be proud. It what you think about yourself that counts. I am 6 months out, have had some thinning, have colored for years and still do. Nice going.
It is just part of the process, nothing to worry about, and It is good to know you will have someone else in your support system for before or even after the surgery. Keep us posted.
Keep in touch with your doctor, while this is common after surgery it can lead to complications. Try and cough up as much of the "stuff" as you can, and I think exercise helps. It does get better.
Ashley, how is it going? Are you able to drink your water and protein? Are you able to move around some? Let us know. Be brave, and be proud to taking the steps to a healthier you.
