I too was full blown diabetic for years...glyburide and metformin twice a day; and my BS was STILL around 180. A1c was near 9. Now BS is around 80..without any meds and most recent A1c was 5.9. Doctor was very happy.

Hi Barbara, First off congrats on getting ready to take the first step in reclaiming your life and health. You're not worried "over nothing", you're going to have surgery...that's a big deal. But I've found that fear comes mostly from having insufficient information/unresolved questions...
