why is Bypass surgery more successful than just dieting?

I don't think ANY bariatric surgery is "elegant". I know many people in my "real life" support groups who were very successfull in stopping their insulin usage after a RNY and sleeve. I think everyone is different and everyone's body reacts differently to surgery. The choice in which one you...

6 weeks out - morning sickness??

First, let me say I am NOT PREGNANT....however, every morning when I wake up I am getting sick after the first drink of anything. My Dr. suggested hot tea 1st thing to calm my pouch but it is not working. I just need to know if this has happened to anyone else?

    Carbonated drinks and bubbles

I am going to be as nice about this as I possibly can. But please do not flatter yourself. Like I said, I will walk my journey and you can stay on your own path. I will do what is right for ME, and if I want a diet root beer I will allow the carbonation to escape first and then I will drink it.

    Carbonated drinks and bubbles

I don't feel like I am setting myself up for failure. I own the journey I am on and you own yours. Blanket statements like that do not belong in support groups. IMO.

    Who has regrets?

Sandie, I love the ICE drinks. The carbonation doesn't bother your pouch? I haven't tried them since surgery but I really want to.

However, with that being said, I am sure once this phase of weakness and low energy passes, I will have a change of heart. But you wanted honesty, so there...
