2 Days Post Op Gastric Bypass

Hello All, I am new here, but so glad I found an online support group for Oregonians. For insurance reasons, I had to have my surgery out of state at a Center of Excellence in Salt Lake City. They've been wonderful, but not living locally makes it challenging. I am recovering in a hotel room in Utah, not ideal. The altitude is kicking my butt - I struggle to breathe here (they put me on temporary oxygen at discharge). I can't wait to get back home.

The post-op fatigue they warned about is real. I am doing my best to walk around the hotel room every two hours, as they recommend, but I get so tired that I have to stop and rest every few feet. I'm trying to push through. I keep telling myself it's just temporary and persistence is the key! I am also struggling to get my water in. I feel like I am sipping constantly, but it's A LOT to get in with such little sips. It's a full-time job to concentrate on the things you need to do during these early days. I want to give myself the best chance for success and as few complications as possible. Any advice is appreciated.

Apologies. I thought I was posting in the Oregon-specific section. I should have paid more attention. I am glad to have found this site nonetheless.
