So like everyone else I am still having problems myself i think ! My first question is did I stretch my pouch ? For the past few months now I can eat almost anything except bread unless it’s toasted hamburger meat , eggs except for egg salad , tuna fish. I can eat steak which I was told I wouldn’t be able to have for about a year . Yesterday I ate 2 skinless hotdogs on a bun and two scoops of wheat thins and a bowl of fruit with no problem. So do you think I stretchEd my pouch or am I just one of the lucky ones that can eat certain things and not get sick. Question no. 2 for a couple of months now I’ve been only drinking a protein shake in the morning and later on a bottle of vitamin water zero and I haven’t been dehydrated. Four months ago I was drinking a lot more than that and I ended up in the hospital over night with an IV because I was dehydrated so why not now ? On top of all this I still seem to be losing one or two pounds a week if I’m lucky three pounds. Anybody got a clue what’s going on ? I have an appointment in a couple of weeks with a surgeon for the 6 month check in if I get to keep it because of this Coronavirus thing .

Jeez Bill, I'm stumped. You're 5 months out, right? I would ask your doctor but I would think it would take MUCH longer of really overeating to stretch it.

Do you only drink those 2 beverages or do you also drink with meals or between? Do you eat lots of fruits/veggies with high-water content? Another stumper!

I'm glad you have an appt scheduled in a few weeks but it couldn't hurt to call in with these questions ahead of time too. I'm sure they can do a virtual call or skype at the very least, that's what I've been doing.

Good luck and in the meantime, try to push some more fluids, just to ease my mind, ok? :)
 
Bill, I have noticed that there is almost nothing I can't eat except overcooked meats (beef, chicken fish anything over cooked sits in my stomach foe hours). I do notice that in the last week I have been fatigued, but the program administrator (the NP) suggested that I up the water and calories since I have been walking much more that previously. Yesterday, I ate more calories that I have since before the surgery. I too wonder if I have stretched my pouch, but I think that I am just spreading out the eating and exercising more. The weight has continued to fall off, though it has slowed down recently (I guess the "easy fat" is gone, and now the body is fighting back to hold on to the stored energy).
As far as the liquids, look at the type of food you're eating. If it's very moist (soups, stews, sauces etc) then you are probably getting your hydration from that otherwise I too am at a loss.
 
I have a protein drink a half hour later something to eat like yogurt with blueberries or strawberries or I’ll have a whole wheat frozen waffle with sugar free syrup around a half hour later I have a bottle of vitamin water zero a little later for dinner is whatever the wife makes which she try’s to make what I should be eating or I cook for myself something easy like a hotdog or refried beans etc. by then im usually full and don’t want to drink anything later in the evening I sometimes have a small fruit bowl of a small orange some bluberries pinapple or watermelon that’s it for the day. But I dont get dehydrated

Bill keep up the good work with the liquids i agree i don't agree with the hot dog but i get it lol..... no no but you redeemed yourself with the Re-fried beans though. I went to the store and bought non fat surgar free vanill yougart the prices of the protien shakes are unbearable i just did not have the $$$ to get it i am making plans for next week to buy it
 
my wife ordered 2 cases of the vitamin water that I like from Amazon so I guess I can drink a little more now that I have more. Don’t like regular water much not even with lemon also got some sugar free popsicles . Good luck finding protein drinks
 
So true i was in the store and a Retail in-store product demonstrator showcase featured called Bubly sparkling water. we both know it is a carbonated beverage Which is a NO NO :oops:
After weight loss surgery we know it is to prevent your stomach, sleeve, or pouch from stretching.
Kind of a big deal A major purpose of getting weight loss surgery is to make your stomach smaller.
Tell me why she tried to disagree o_Oo_O Hello.... Sparkling is a big indication Carbonation LOL LOL
 
I gave up soda and beer a year ago this month I drill vitamin water zero and sometimes Hint water and Propel as I was told no carbonated beverages too! I really don’t like the Priemer protien shakes anymore after surgery but still have them I like the Cookies n Cream the best
