2 weeks Post-OP

Today is the first I have really felt like posting. I have been reading every one else’s post op story and issues.
I’m also having issues with being dizzy and lightheaded when I try to move around a little. It was so bad over the weekend I want to
the ED. They told me I was dehydrated. So for 5 hour I received 2000 ml of solution and 2 vitamins IV. Sent home.
Had an appointment with surgeon yesterday. I need to have a bottle of protein drink in one hand and Gatorade in the other all day.
He changed my diet to soft so that I would get more calories in. I guess I was not eating enough.
He also told me it will take time for the body to adjust.
I have had to ask myself once again why did I do this.
So far have not has any issues with keeping anything down. The surgery itself was not bad. Other then I could not pee for 24 hours.
They had to do a straight catch on me, and give me a pill to stimulate the bladder. All is well there.
I’m depressed I can’t be as active as I think I should be. My doctor tells me it will get better. I thought I was only going to be off
Work for 2 weeks but he is releasing me in 4 week. Which will be good.

Sorry you're feeling a little down. It will get better as you get in enough water and nutrition for your body to heal. Take the time you've been given at home as a gift. Read a good book or try to enjoy the time in some other way. :)

Sorry you have had a bit of a rough time. It is the worst when you know you should feel better but it takes more time than you would like to actually get to that point. Hang in, there, It will happen! How is going adding in the soft foods? Are you able to keep them down? I hope it all progresses smoothly for you from here on out!

Feeling good today. Soft diet seem to be working. Everything is staying down. Not eating to much of anything.
Had 1/2 cup of hot grits this morning. I was able to walk to the trash without feeling dizzy or lightheaded.
Still can’t stand very long still getting a little lightheaded there. Thanks everyone for your support.
I think I have become addicted to this site lol

Glad to hear it! I hope you're at the end of the hard part. :)
