I'm doing well from surgery on Monday, taking pain meds once a day. I'm logging all my food intake and I just want to make sure I'm doing well, my check up isn't for another 12 days. I'm keeping my protein between 55-75 per day but my calories are only 500-700 per day. Is that OK? Do I need more calories? I have not lost any weight since the surgery (be patient?), and it's a S T R U G G L E to get all the water in considering I have to take 30m to eat a meal, and can't drink 30m before or after that meal, and can only sip. Typical breakfast is a premier protein shake and a 5oz container of triple zero greek yogurt, lunch is 1/2c cream soup and unsweetened applesauce, dinner another protein shake, sugar free pudding, maybe a sugar free Popsicle or jello later on. Too much? Any comments are appreciated.
