Hi I am new here, I had surgery in 2018 sleeve, developed complications and converted to bypass in 2020. Since I have lost over 170 lbs and had mommy make over in 2024. I had loose skin and felt like all the hard work and still looked fat. Best decision. What I am struggling with now is I am way below my goal weight and trying to gain some weight. I have had my pouch stretched twice to give me more capacity. I have about 4 oz max of space to eat. It becomes very painful to eat chicken or meats unless they are consumed to paste level. My doc has said I am the lucky one with having such limited capacity. Anyone else struggle with this? At times I don't eat so I am not in pain and then become very tired and drained due to lack of energy. I am so much more active and feel like I need to consume more protein due to increase activity levels but my capacity does not allow. I cannot handle protein drinks they are too high in carbs and make me sick like dumping effect. Any suggestions or help appreciated. Otherwise I feel great, my tests show that I am getting the nutrients I need and all levels are good, just need some suggestions on good foods to eat so I can gain some muscles/weight. I tried working out with weights and trainer but he wanted me to eat more to continue to train effectively. I was getting exhausted due to lack of calories.
