Hi guys , I lost about 120 pounds after my gastric sleeve and last summer I was at loweat around 200-205 I really wanted to loose another 25 pounds and make it to my Goal of 175 but I struggled so much and could not get that wait off of me even after spending 3 months in Hawaii walking miles everyday I only lost 5 extra pounds . I got back from Hawaii in August 2018 and I weighed around198 . Now over the course of the 7 months I’ve gained 20 pounds and I’m devastated . I cannot go back . I just feel so broken and sad that I’ve gained weight back .

I am almost 4 years post-op in July and it's been a struggle I have gained 15-20 pounds within the last 8 months...and I came to far to start gaining back the weight after losing over 112 pounds

In one of the many books I have recently read, the doctor who wrote it stated that generally the weight loss is too much for your body and most people gain back about 20% to where the body settles in at a new setpoint. Check out some books on the science of it all. Pretty interesting stuff. It was a book by Dr. Hargroder a surgeon out of Missouri.

I know what you’re going thru. I’ve gained back 30 pounds after maintaining 3 years. I’ve tried the pouch reset and logging all my food and can’t get if off

Good affirmations here, and some corny ones you can ignore:

These are great, thanks for sharing this link Diane - torn between 2 favorites:

#10: I can do this, I am doing this, my body is losing weight right now.
#21: I am grateful to my body for all the things it does for me.
