Can’t “feel” my stomach

So I have been trying to articulate a way to ask this question and when I woke up today I finally figured it out. When will I FEEL my stomach again?!? So currently when I eat (read:drink) anything I “feel” it go down my sternum and then that’s it no where else. For the last few days I have had this panicked feeling that I will put too much fluid or not enough in my sleeve and it will hurt and it has made it hard for me to get all my nutrition. And I think a lot has to do with the fact that I cannot feel if the water or whatever liquid is in my stomach or not. How long post op was it until you can differentiate between the esophagus and the stomach?!? I hope that makes sense. Trying to put words to these sensations.

I wondered the same thing. I have sleeve. I really started being able to differentiate about 6 weeks post op.
