Coffee!!

I have always loved a good cup of coffee but now I feel guilty drinking my ice coffee because I heard it stretches your sleeve. Is this a fact or myth? I can drink about two medium cups of Dunkin’ coffee @ 6months post surgery. I don’t add any sugar and use skim milk but I still feel guilty. Anyone having an issue with coffee? Is this even an issue? Idk but I don’t want to give up my coffee.

I have been having a cup in the am and an iced latte (homemade) with protein milk early afternoon since about 4 months post op. My 1 year anniversary is coming up in June. Coffee does not stretch your pouch out any more than any other liquid. I track it the same as any other food and have had no issues. As long as you are getting at least 64oz of water in too, it should not be an issue.

Coffee does not stretch your sleeve. Totally a myth.

Immediately post surgery, caffiene and coffee is a no-no because it chemically impares healing. A few weeks post-op, per whatever your doctor suggests - you can start enjoying coffee again.

Coffee gets a bad reputation because of the sweeteners and other calorie-dense additivies many people use. You can, without effort, quickly drink your entire day's worth of calories and be hungary 30 minutes later.

I love my coffee, coffee does not love me. We compromise at one cup cold brew with carmel protein shake mixed in each day. If I dont drinking it by mid afternoon I am mentally fried.
