Day 1 after surgery.

I wonder if you’re having difficulty due to the high volume of fluids that you received via IV during your surgery and postoperatively or a side effect of the anesthesia that essentially puts our bowel and bladder to sleep (usually they wake up within 24 hrs). It would be very unlikely physiologically to have impacted your urge to urinate with bariatric surgery. Maybe if you try routine toileting every couple of hours and make sure you’re diligent about getting your bowels moving after surgery. I would suggest if things don’t resolve in a couple of days to follow up with your surgeon or primary care provider to ensure that you don’t have an infection or anything else that can be causing that. hi i am on day 6 of sleeve surgery. I peed all over the hospitol floor on day2 and peed my pants once since ive been home. My issue is im starving all the time. From the second i woke up from surgery ive been really hungry. My docyor said he has only had 2 payients in his catreer like this and he thinks i am mixing pain up with hunger. I lost 17lbs in 6 days. I t dose get better somtimes but for the most part i am always hunger and think about food all the time. I am only on day 6 so all i can have is broth shakes popcicle. The jello tasted too sweet and could not eat it i am already pretty sick of shakez. I have zero energy, i am barely getting off couch and honestly i wonder if this was a good idea sometimes. Then yesturday i weighed myself and saw i lost 17 pounds and that was a high that lasted til this morning when i woke up so hungry it hurt. Ifeel ok now cause ive taken pain meds and an attavin but i cant keep doing that. I was in a bad accident a couple month ago and had to take allot of pain meds ive been trying to get off of them and i do get sick if i dont take them. My primary doctor persvribed suboxum to get me off the pain meds but my surgion did not want me to take those and quit pain meds til after surgery.so i am a real mess. I think i am venting all this to uou all so i can hear myself cause obiosly the answer is get off pain meds asap so i teally know what i sm feeling.thats my answer. Easier said then done i btoke 3ighteen ybon3s in qccident qnd it was q motorcycle accident. I was in unbelievable pain for months. But i dontneed them no. They justmake me feel better . Tomorrow no more oxy i start the subboxum. Tjanks what a mess i am.
