Things have been going really well since my surgery 10 days ago. I’m so happy to be in the full liquid stage. My food cravings were crazy the first week, so it’s heaven to eat Cream of Wheat and soup. I have noticed that eating causes me to consume less water for the day because each time I eat, that means one entire hour of no water (30 minutes before and after the meal). Three meals equals three hours of no water. Oh well, my dietician said to do the best I can and not focus on numbers.
One of my incisions (I have seven) started leaking last night at 6:30pm right after I ate my soup. It has been leaking off and on since then. It is normal, watery, no smell, no pain, no tenderness and no fever. It’s just gross. It’s the first time I’ve had any issues since my surgery. I left my nurse a message, but no response yet. Photo below of the incision in case anyone is concerned. I think it looks okay.
