Did anyone regret doing the surgery?

I am planning to do the Sleeve Surgery in two weeks.
I want to know if anyone regret doing the surgery.
After struggling with weight lost for several year, now I start losing weight with diet that seems I am not hungry all the time.

So I am debating to cancel or postpone the surgery or just go with it.

I did the first two weeks out, but then things started looking up. The surgery will be more able to help you keep the weight off. Most of us have struggled with weight loss diets before the surgery and are doing better overall. Some few have regrets months out because it didnt take as well as theyd hope, meaning, it had other complications. In those circumstances they really were not imformed as thoroughly as could be. If you are doing the surgery for the right reasons you won't regret it. You may question it at times when things get rough, but overall, if you've struggled with weight loss for most of your life and can't seem to get beyond a certain point, the surgery will help you move beyond that point, therefore there are not any regrets. Learn as much as you can about it though, so there isn't room for misunderstandings before you make the lifestyle change. If your questioning it now, make sure you put those to rest before you go through with it, you can't go back once you've had the surgery.

I had RNY 10 years ago. Just after my surgery severe mental health issues showed up. Maybe RNY had nothing to do with it? Maybe? I spent 7 years in ECT and in and out of hospitals. Please note that I was thin the whole time. Now I’m ECT free but having EXTREME difficulty keeping the weight off. Just nutz? I’d do anything to take the ECT loss back. Even if it meant I have to be morbidly obese. I regret RNY.

Its very possible the rny had alot to do with the severity of something that was lurking in the background. They say that this surgery would make it worse. Nowadays they do psych evals and expect the wls patient to acqire services with mental health professionals. The wls team that i have consists of a pychologist that i have had to follow up with. He also ask me a ton of questions about my life. It was scary for a while because it was his word to the surgeon that carried so much weight. His exact words to me is technically i dont qualify for surgery but everyone deserves to be healthy. So i got to get the sleeve. In a couple of months it will have been a year only. I hope i don't come to regrets over it 9 years from now. It was a big life changing decision that I made. I have to make this work for me not against. I hope you find comfort and peace.
