Ok so I heard all about dumping syndrome. Sweating, shakes, vomiting diarrhea , heart palpitations....I have never even had an episode of this. Not even once. Unless maybe the diarrhea. If I eat and forget to chew it thoroughly, I will feel awful for a bit then throw up. I have had to learn to chew really well no matter what. I guess this dumping syndrome doesn't happen to everyone?

And chewing your food is key. They were actually teaching me that before I had the surgery. Your goal is to liquify the food in your mouth before swallowing. If you can do that, you will be a much happier camper.

Totally agree about chewing. If I eat without focus, chewing the way I always had in the past, I'll always regret it! I need to always remind myself to practice mindful eating.

For me I don't eat and drink together!! 30-45 minutes between the two. Slow and Steady with my eating and drinking works for me. You can do this and you are not alone!!

Hi Tauheedah - please remind me, how long has it been since your surgery?
