Experiencing INSOMNIA

One week post op with GP. Physically I feel fine. Walking around with no problem. But for some reason I haven’t slept for the past two days. This isn’t like me. Im Totally out of it right now. Has anyone experienced this?

Insomnia is something I have dealt with most of my adult life. I can’t tell you if it is a normal thing after surgery. Check with you doctor. Maybe

Hi Julia I always had a hard time sleeping but now after the surgery I’m having a really hard time don’t know if it was the surgery or not

Hi Julia, I'm glad you're feeling good for the most part.

Anesthesia and narcotic pain meds can really mess with your system. Since you're just a week post-op, it may take some time for your body to flush that stuff out. Drink as much water as you can to try to accelerate the process.
