All I'm seeing are people who have had or will be having sleeve surgery. Since the byrpass surgery is so much more restrictive, I'd love to talk with others who have had it or are going to.

Lillian. Thanks for all of the must dos and must haves. That helps a lot. Congrats on your weight loss. That is terrific!Hello Christine,
I am defiantly not an expert but I had my Roux-En-Y gastric bypass was on May 2,2016. On my 6th month post op visit I have lost 72lbs since my surgery.
A few things that I find vital for my process in order is:
1. consciously consuming enough water daily( I noticed when I don't the next day I am more sensitive to smell and lack energy)
2. Start my day with a bariatric multivitamin with iron and liquid vitamin B complex( before surgery and after for 2 months I bought liquid vitamins because I could not stay the flavor of crushed pills)
3. Start the day with a high protein shake and I make sure I consume at least a total of 70 grams of protein for the day( the only way I can consume that much is by utilizing protein shakes in the morning and in the last month I allow myself 1 cup of coffee with almond milk and protein powder).
Best to stock up on vitamins , broth, sugar free yogurt, and protein shake that you like before surgery. Listen carefully to your body.
YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!!
Hi Christine...My name is Migley, I'm very new here.. and I'm having gastric bypass surgery next Monday, the 21st...I'm nervous and excited at the same time...How are you doing..??All I'm seeing are people who have had or will be having sleeve surgery. Hi Migley. Welcome to the group. Are you at the shake only diet now? I start on Sunday. This will be my 2nd go around. The day before my first surgery date it was decided I needed a stress test, so I was rescheduled. Now I have to go through the shakes UGH. And the nerves. Isn't it weird to be nervous and excited at the same time. I would love to find out how things go and how you progress.Hi Christine...My name is Migley, I'm very new here.. and I'm having gastric bypass surgery next Monday, the 21st...I'm nervous and excited at the same time...How are you doing..??
