Almost 7 months post op Duodenal Switch and down 102 lbs. So I thought I'd be cute and eat stuff I shouldn't because "I was on vacation" and "I can't eat that much anyway" and "what's the worst that could happen". Well I'll tell you that my nightmare freaking happened, that's what can happen. My butthole is blown out. No but for real, I didn't know constipation like this existed. I gave myself an enema because the blockage was so bad I couldn't get it to pass, not even rabbit pellets. I had to put on a glove and pull feces from my rectum with toilet paper even after the enema. I never thought I would say that in my life. Also, I have never screamed in pain the way I did after giving myself that enema and trying to pass that stool. I scared my fiance, in 6 years he had never heard me scream until today. It was god awful. Do not for the love of everything holy eat what you are supposed to stay away from because I guarantee you will regret it in one way or another. It's been hours since my bowel movement and I'm still having rectum pain to the point that I can't sleep. I'll now be tending to what I can only assume is anal fissures from the hard stool for the next 6-8 weeks. Very terrible lesson learned. Is it wrong that I contemplated putting orajel on my butthole? Lol! I live in a small town so everything is closed right now. Hopefully i can get some sleep soon.
