Hi all, My name is Tina. I'm a 41yr old single mother of 4 who had RNY on Dec6,2011, Merry Christmas to me! I'm having a few complications but still glad I choose to do this for myself. I had to be scoped last week for stricture dilation and they also found that I have ulcerations. I have followed the diet as best I could, I know I wasn't keeping enough protein in as I threw up everything for the last few weeks, but hopefully they'll get this all under control soon. I was started on a new medication called carafate. I've lost 35lb in 5 weeks. Looking forward to having some energy soon.

Tina-First of all welcome to the forum and congrats on your success. But ulcers? WOW. How the heck did they miss that prior to your surgery? Anyway, I'm sure you will overcome everything and successfully contine and complete your journey. My RNY will be on February 27th. Make sure to visit the forum often and let us know how you are progressing.

Hi Tina,
I hope you continue to get better. How did they find out you had ulcers? I had LRNY on 12/29/11 and am just struggling with getting enugh fluid in everyday. And...truth be told I cannot wait until I get to go to the next food stage..I am SO sick of cream soups!!
