As you can see in my picture I have long hair it’s even longer now . I like long hair and have always had long hair ever since the Hippie movement and now heavy metal. What I’m asking is when does it start falling out and is it in chunks ? Will it be noticeable? Do you lose a lot ? And what are the recommendations for hair loss if any .Ive been using Biotin shampoo for a couple of months now hoping that might help.Also when does it start growing back.I know they’re kinda stupid questions but heck I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Mine started falling out at about 3 or 4 months, every time I wash it. Other people wouldn’t necessarily notice, but I’ve always had very long, thick hair. I’m thinking I may get it cut into a bob after Christmas. Nothing I have tried has halted it so far and I’m 8 months out. But I have heard other people say it grows back, so fingers crossed!

Oh, and Bill, you might want to change your hair homage to the punk era. Cut it shortish and make it all spikey. That's actually what I'm doing with my hair right now and it looks really good.

I was actually thinking of doing that . I did go through the punk phase with a Ziggy Stardust haircut for a while so I might eventually do that. And wow you sure give a lot of very informative information.

You have beautiful hair so I can understand being hesitant but I bet with the new bone-structure in your face, it would look super-sharp!

It went well tonight, I always get myself worked up for nothing. Yeah, a few people remarked about my loss. It was nice to show up in a pretty dress & know it fit nicely.

Do you get to see your family tomorrow or are they all "across the pond"?

Wow!! Here we go HAIR really? The benefits I got from my surgery is "Outstandingly Good" loss some my hair yes and if it gets to the point where I having panic attacks about it. I will buy me a wig and keep it moving!!!!

I am new here, really new to the bypass, but i had the gastric sleeve first and lost hair from it, so I cut mine short and no one notices it. I am really hoping the same thing happens with the bypass fingers crossed!
