Maggie-Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of people here who can offer support on your weight loss journey. Since you did not say if you have had your surgery yet I will try to answer your question the best I can. If you haven't had surgery you might want to try eating a small piece of fruit, 4 to 6 ounces of 100% fruit juice or a beverage with a non-calorie sweetner. These things worked for me. If you had your surgery I don't know how you can still eat sweets and not have any side effects such as dumping. Dumping is what happens if you eat anything with refined sugar and / or if it has fat over a certain amount. Dumping symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, headache, chills, cramping, bloating, gas and / or diarrhea. You'll know it when you get it and will probably avoid getting it again. Dumping can also happen if you eat too much at a time.
