Hello! Newbie on the block

Hello everyone, my name is Maria and I am currently in the home stretch of getting the gastric sleeve. I have been going through this process for a year and was suppose to have the procedure in March of this year. But, due to the unforeseen circumstances that have transpired that is 2020, was pushed back. But, I have been able to complete all of my presurgical testing and my surgery date is Monday November 9th. I am in my second week of my liquid diet and I am very excited to begin a new healthier life!

Like you they canceled my surgery I March but I had mine in June this year. The surgery was easy, the diet was the hardest thing I have ever done , besides having 3 kids. I have had no problems but I did what the doctors told me to do.

Hi, Maria. Welcome to the group. I have found it to be a great place to get advice or just discuss whatever new thing is going on physically or mentally. It's usually something lol Surgery was pretty easy for me as well and I have been lucky in that I have found no foods that actually make me vomit/dump. Good luck next week and I look forward to hearing how it goes for you. As long as you follow the guidelines that your WL team give you, you should do great.
