Good morning! I'm new here. Would love to hear from those who had surgery 10 yrs ago. Had mine in 2002. Continue to do well. Have had some ups and downs. but would do it all over. My life has been so wonderful since having the surgery!!!
Well I'm 3 years out.. I see that you are below your goal..Great for you.. I am struggling right now.. going up a few pounds.. so I know that I must make some changes.. I've been told by a few people that weight comes on easily at this time because you relax.. For me it means that I have not comepletey made this a lifestyle choice yet...I'm posting here hoping that I can glean from you some insight on how to be successful in the long term.. Can you share more about your journey?
I had a 38 pound weight gain over the past 5 years, a year ago I decided to go to Weight watchers. It was so easy and the weight came off pretty easy. I was just not watching what I put into my mouth and have become such a grazer since having the surgery. It truly is a lifestyle change. I lost all the way down to 138 pounds, way too much for me at 5ft 8 in. And was way below my goal of 170. I really needed to gain some, I looked horrible, lol!! Hard to believe that I actually was too thin!!!! Over the years I gradually put some back on. Then decided that I had better get back with the program. Wt Watchers is the best and it really worked well. I lost 15-17 pounds and back into my size 10 clothes, still wearing a few 12s because I don't have money to go buy new ones right now. I met my goal at Wt. Watchers and am now a lifetime member I still have to watch it some, but able to do it
Best of luck, you can do it and looks like you are almost at goal.
