My name is Yanet. My weight has been a life long issue for me since I was a child. After many back and forth moments ( trying to keep the weight off on my own) I decided to move forward with the sleeve. I am a mom to 10 children, yes 10!!! This surgery was a gift to myself. I am 4 days out and it has not been a walk in the park, for sure. The gas and incision pain is better, I am able to drink more but my vision is blurry and I feel a bit weak. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone here and follow along with everyone. Just wondering what others were about to tolerate ( food wise) after a few days.

Hello Yanet, welcome to the group. 10 kids!!! OH MY! WHEW! Glad to hear you are doing pretty well after surgery. You might be a bit dehydrated which would cause weakness and blurred vision. Of course, I am no doctor! The blurred vision would have me more concerned, I would call your surgeon/doctor. I hope you get it handled. As far as the food, I don't have any input there. I haven't had my surgery yet, waiting on my pre-surgical appointment so I can get it scheduled and counting down the days. I hope the best for you.

Welcome Yanet and congrats on your surgery! Hearing you say that this surgery is a gift to yourself is wonderful, especially with 10 children! Mom's have a way of not putting themselves first and I am so glad you are doing that for yourself.

Those first few days are hard to get all the liquid in but it will get better each day. If you have any concerns health wise at all, don't hesitate to call your doctor.

Glad you found this group. We will try to support & encourage you & all who visit and join us here. Your plate certainly is full, yet here you are on the other side. Awesome! Just remember to sip sip sip, walk walk walk, stay hydrated & try to keep your protein levels up. Protein shakes, protein powder at 1st. Good luck! ❤

Hello and welcome. I cannot even imagine 10 children. It boggles the mind. How do you have time to .. pick a thing lol Anyway, glad you're here!

In the hospital they gave me 1oz glasses and told me to drink one every 10-15 minutes. So, I used shot glasses once I got home and tried to stick to that. It's not easy, but I found it easier than having a large glass that seemed insurmountable. Plus, 1oz stays cold and I LIKE COLD DRINKS.
