Hmmm... I'm not sure where to go with that, lol. I know part of the reason most people can't drink a lot of water at once is because after surgery your stomach is about the size of an egg and half a bottle of water certainly does not fit into an egg. To me that makes me envision your stomach being stretched with all the water and that makes me concerned for the stitches/staples holding it all together. Too much pressure in the stomach could cause issues with that and cause you to lose a staple or potentially stretch out your stomach again. I am only going off the information I have learned and witnessed, so I don't know if that is really the case or not. I would talk to your dr about it just to make sure it isn't potentially harmful for you in anyway. I would hate for something to go wrong simply because you drank too much water at once! Other than your water intake, how are you feeling after your surgery?Had my surgery November 19, 2019 all the YouTube videos i saw everyone was saying that they weren’t able to drink big amount of fluids for me that’s not a problem I can drink half a bottle of water In one gulp can someone please explain to me if this is normal or not
I've read that drinking a lot after surgery is easy for some. If your stomach is empty the water will exit the stomach quickly since no special digestion is required. My doctor frequently says, "You will feel pain if it is a problem."Had my surgery November 19, 2019 all the YouTube videos i saw everyone was saying that they weren’t able to drink big amount of fluids for me that’s not a problem I can drink half a bottle of water In one gulp can someone please explain to me if mo this is normal or not
