Hi, everyone! I'm new here.

I'm currently going through the bariatric journey at Tampa General Hospital. Next month will be my sixth and last month before my date for surgery will be scheduled. I'm going to have a Roux-en-y procedure. Witing for next month and my surgery date to be scheduled is making me anxious.

The only people that know about my upcoming surgery is my wife and two kids. I don't know anyone to talk to that has had weight loss surgery. I'm hoping I can find that here with this forum.

My height is 5'-8" and when I started my journey I weighed 273# with a BMI of 41. I now weigh 250.

Welcome to the group! The waiting really is the hardest part. I am a month out from my RYGB and could not be happier with my decision. It's not even so much the weight loss, as how much better I feel. It sounds like you are off to a fantastic start, losing 23lbs already. Keep up the good work.
