Hiatal hernia

Hey! Did anyone having VSG also have a hiatal hernia repair in the same session? If so, how long did the procedure take?

I had RNY but I did have the hiatal hernia repair done. My total procedure lasted an hour and a half.

That's a god question. I'm having my VSG on December 16th w/ a hiatal hernia repair, but I don't go in for my pre-op until 12/3 which is when I'll find that info out. It would be good to know beforehand.

Had my surgery last week. My family said when they got the call that I was out was about an hour and a half to two hours after I went in

Just found out that I was approved by insurance, December 16 is a go, barring complications. We’ll have to keep in touch and support each other in this journey.

WHOOP WHOOP!!! I'm excited for us both!!! I have to have a hiatal hernia repair also with mine. I'm getting the sleeve. Praying revision to RNY won't be needed down the road. I was on a Facebook "support" group and many people spoke of having to have the revision. In my opinion I think some people weren't doing the things they should've been in regards to following diet exercise etc.
