How much food?

Hello Dsquared- you have to do 3 things to lose weight post-op: get your full allotment of protein, drink plenty of water and get some nutrition from real food. Watching calories is not what my doctor ordered. 600 calories can lead to malnutrition and slow your metabolism. Calories is a factor when looking at your height, weight and activity level. You might not feel like eating, but depending on the diet your nutritionist gave you, you should be. Check in with your doctor if your eating problems continue.
Thank you so much for the response. I know my protein and water levels are not at the desired levels but I’m trying to get there. I think I’ve been afraid to eat to much for fear of this not working. But I’ve been doing a lot of broth and eggs. The protein shakes cause gastric problems but I found some plant based ones and I’m trying those. Thank you again for the information.

Lovalee, where are you now on your journey? What have you learned? What do you have to teach us? How about an update?
Hi Diane, Things are a little better. I have shown some weight loss. I think I wasnt getting as much protein as I thought I was. Im trying to eat more. I have heard that fiber plays a role in good weight loss and that is almost impossible to meet if this is true. My water intake is good. I just keep plugging along and hope it gets better
