Hello. I am 54 years old and am going through the insurance process for VSG my BMI is 38. I am worried and excited at the same time. I think the three months nutritional visits required by my insurance have been very helpful in learning how to eat before and after the surgery.

Welcome! Has your doctor given you guidance on how much time to take off? It also depends on how physical your job is.

He said 7 days. That seems like a lot. I do customer service so I sit all day.

My cousin is a secretary and took 3 weeks. It really is going to depend on how fast you heal and how you feel. I felt pretty good very quickly, but it is still major surgery and I would think at least a week is reasonable.
