I need some thoughts, prayers, and encouragement!

Wow... almost there! I have 3 more days on the liquid phase of my diet, and frankly, it's killing me. I am tired of broth, stocks, water, diluted juices, and protien shakes.

I have done EVERYTHING I could to make sure that I have had variety, but DAMN, this is getting old! I have made my own excellent chicken and beef bone broths; I have found some FANTASTIC pre-made bone broths (I HIGHLY recommend the Kettle & Fire brand on Amazon!); I have tried multiple different protien shakes and drinks (Premier Protien is my favorite. They have a wide variety of flavors, and even a protien water.); and I have diluted multiple juices, like apple, pear, and grape/cherry.

So you see... I have worked it. I have done everything I could. The other day, I stooped to licking sour cream and onion potato chips, just for the flavor!

And now... I am sooooo close to the finish line. Three days. On Wednesday, I get to move to puree foods... for a month. I have found a lot of puree soup recipes, and am looking for others. I have found puree meat recipes too, although I am skeptical. And I am quite sure I will get tired of the puree diet quickly too. I don't know if I can do that for an entire month... but let's hope I can stick to it. As it is, I am seriously thinking of not going the last three days on my liquid diet...

So, some thoughts, prayers, and encouragement would be much appreciated!

You can make it! I remember well how hard that last few days of a cycle is! You could use these days to transition to pureed by slowly increasing the consistency of your foods. My fave was cream of wheat. It can be made thin in the beginning and then if your body tolerates it, make it a little thicker next time. You're doing great!

it is really quite arbitrary and does not take into consideration whether or not your stomach has healed enough for certain foods.
You correct Diane! Both about my surgeon going slow, and it being arbitrary. My surgeon did say that his program is longer than others, and it is because he wants me changing my eating habits and my relationship with food.

And even though I get it, it gets tough, especially in the last few days of a phase.

Yes... I COULD say, "Screw it!" And go to puree tomorrow, and then solid foods a week or two. But I don't WANT too. I trust my surgeon and his method.

I was really just looking to vent, and maybe get some encouragement to continue down my path.

Thank you for all you do here on the forum, your insights are fantastic, and your support and encouragement is a tremendous help!
