I feel like I am not doing the right things by im nervous to fail.
I get my protein in and it is very hard to do so I am noticing. Especially on pureed and I choke down those protein shakes which I despise.
I get to go to soft food tomorrow and my nutritionist has yet to get back to me.
I am not a make ur own shake person so I am just feeling defeated.
Also I am not feeling good due to hormones but I needed to post something so get some suggestions.

It makes complete sense. Thank u again for all your help.
My recovery has gone great minis a few hiccups with a fever and vomiting but overall very good. My incisions are sore but other than that I think I'm doing good. I have been doing arm workouts and am going to start on waking soon. I am just a scheduler and I have no idea how to start preparing my meals and making sure I am getting all nutritional goals in. I feel starving most of the time so I feel I am not doing it right and I want to be a success story. I start soft foods tomorrow so I'll go to the store and by 3 different ingredients for 3 different meals and have them for the week and I haven't figured out snacks yet so I'll do the protein shakes.
I just get overwhelmed and then I feel like my brain can't process what I have to do and so I don't do it . I've been working on it for a while now.
At the end of the day I just want to come out and be successful and happy.
I did post something about my weight loss on a update post . I started out at 224 and am down to 199. So I am very proud of that

From what I can tell, you aren't doing things wrong. You are down 25 pounds! That is marvelous. You're being too hard on yourself. You can do this, and you don't have to be perfect. All of us make mistakes on this journey and most mistakes won't have any bearing on the outcome.

It may be easier for you to get protein in the soft food stage since you can have things like fish and moist poultry with decent protein in them (unless you are vegetarian/vegan). If you can't drink a shake, look at something like Protein2O protein water that has 15g protein or some other brand of protein water. Look at Okios triple zero yogurts that have 15g protein per serving or other high protein yogurts. Add unflavored protein powder to savory dishes or less sweet drinks. Try some new protein drinks.

I think Diane is pretty close to the mark in that you've got an obsession with doing this perfectly and not making any mistakes. That isn't going to happen!! No one does this perfectly, and that is absolutely fine. Follow the guidelines as closely as you can, make sure you get enough protein and water above all else. Learn to recognize fullness, and if you aren't full, eat a little more until you feel full. There is only so much food that will go into that new stomach, and it should definitely become more apparent with food that is more solid.

You'll be okay.

Take your time and focus on moving around walking is a great way to feel better. Focus on protein dince i heard thadt is the one thing tht is hard to get in. Im excited to have my surgery soon. You have a better life to look foreward too!

I'm so sorry you feel like you aren't quite getting the hang of this. If you are starving all the time, you are not eating enough at each meal or you are not eating often enough. Try for 5 or 6 small meals. Soft foods should really open up the door for you. Make that chicken and broccoli bake you were talking about a few weeks ago. (And then SHARE your recipe!! yum!) You do not have to suck down pre-made protein shakes for the rest of your life. Make (or buy) something that you LOVE the taste of. Turkey burgers, burrito bowls (so you can skip the tortilla), stuffed peppers, a hearty Italian meat sauce over zoodles. I know it's hard to cook for the small amount we're eating. Freeze it for next week, or next month. Great snacks for me have been protein puddings (make pudding with a protein shake), yogurt, cottage cheese, string cheese, turkey/ham/chicken slices, and hard boiled eggs. I will admit I am OCD when it comes to meal planning so I make my plan for the entire week and prep what I can in advance, so I have individually sized healthy snacks ready to go. Too many options leads me to bad decisions. Then I just make my regularly scheduled dinner. You are doing great and you've got this. Try to relax. Rome wasn't built in a day, so you've got plenty of time to figure it all out. For now, eat enough protein and drink your water.
