I'm kind of Dehydrated

Is it ok to drink pedicare for dehydration?
Hmm, I'd ask your doctor. I would think something like this would contain a lot of sugar. But I don't know enough about it to know for sure. Water is always the best cure for dehydration.

My dietician told me specifically no pediacare or pedialite bc of the sugar. I asked her what I should do if I get sick after surgery, bc it will eventually happen. She said sugar free Gatorade is ok and the protein shakes with more water added in.

There are also some of the Mio drops to add to water that have electrolytes/vitamins that could be helpful.

Does everyone get suck after surgery?
Hey there, are you asking if everyone gets sick after surgery? Not at all, many of us are in the "best-case-scenario" club here and had very little pain or issues. The lifestyle change is the hardest part for almost everyone.

Yes I'm sorry typo....i have a 3 appointments left my next appt. is next week. Im getting close.
No apologies necessary, I assumed that's what you meant. :) That's great that you're getting so close!! Which surgery are you pursuing?

Wow ok......So how are you now a year later any issues?
No issues, I'm doing great! I lost the majority of my weight quickly (within the first 6 months) and hit my goal at 8 months. I actually had my body contouring surgery (full body lift) in February once my weight was stable for 3 months. So I've been through both these surgeries in less than a year and just now getting back to work from the second, 8 weeks later. The body lift was a much more invasive and difficult surgery. Gastric bypass was nothing compared to putting my body back together after the loss. ;)

Does everyone get suck after surgery?
I thought this thread was going to take a very strange turn!!!

I am one in the "Best Case Scenario" group. Though recently I have noticed that I suffer from fatigue in the afternoons. The Nurse Coordinator thinks its dehydration and "overwork" (I'm getting a ton of yard work done, and I probably should increase the water intake to compensate for the sweating).
