Lactose intolerance

Has anyone heard of becoming lactose intolerance after the sleeve surgery? I called my doc with some symptoms and she said it can happen in some instances.

Yes! A large number of people become lactose intolerant after WLS. Some people also can no longer eat red meat after the surgery. My doc recommended trying dairy and red meat once a month after the 3rd month to 'test' my tolerance levels. I would recommend the same, it took me nearly 7 months to be able to eat hamburger meat or drink milk again.
