Hello! This is my first thread, but I’ve been reading these threads for a while and am excited to be a part of this community!
I love water. Liquid stage was tough just because I got so dizzy towards the end, but I got enough fluids in. The purée stage started my troubles with liquids. Every time I drink any liquid, I feel a brick in my stomach. Is that GERD/heartburn? It’s different than the heartburn I always had before. I have contacted my doctor. Here is what I do- drink slowly with sips, avoid dairy, take omneprozale twice a day, sit up straight, vary between cold and hot drinks. I’m trying to also avoid artificial sweeteners, but plain water hurts the worse. It’s now affecting my protein shake intake. The pain from liquid is now hurting my food intake (I’m on a month a soft foods now).
What am I not doing correctly? What can I try next? When will it go away?! Down 42 pounds since end of November, which is great, but I am more concerned with my hydration at this point in time. Thanks everyone.
