Little victories... or maybe a big one?

So, three years ago, after I lost 100 pounds in 2016 on a medically supervised diet, I found my dream car in a barn, a 1969 Chevrolet Stingray Corvette Convertible, and was able to buy it for a steal! I spent a great deal of time fixing it to drive it. Then a couple things broke on it, and it took me nearly 2 years to get it back on the road, with the help of a professional. In December, I went and picked it up from the mechanic and drove it for the first time in 2 years. I had gained all 100 lbs of my weight back, and I was completely dissapointed to find I could barely fit in/drive the car home. It has sat covered in my driveway for the last couple of months, an physical manifestation of my failure with my weight. I was so disheartened, I considered selling it.

Well, here is the little victory... since I have lost 29 lbs, I decided to uncover the the Vette and see if I could drive her. To my utter delight, I was able to! So I broke out my wrenches, did a little mechanical work on her, and violas! I am able to drive my dream car again! And it will only get better the more weight I lose! That was a real victory, and will hopefully be a good reminder/motivator for me going forward!

Here are the pictures of my dream car...
