Lots of questions

Hi my name is Tracie and I’m just getting started on the process of neighs loss surgery. I’m currently at 234lbs and I’m barely 5ft. Most of my weight is in my stomach area so finding clothes to fit has been quite the chore. I’d love to hear from people who’ve been somewhere near my size and how the surgery has helped/hurt you or did absolutely nothing for you I’d like to know what to look for and things to be aware of. Has anyone had skin removal surgery because you’ve lost so much. I’d love to get feedback from everyone who can help me. Thanks so much.

Welcome Tracie! I am taller, and my weight was always distributed fairly evenly (just fat all over, lol), and I still need to get skin removal. Apart from lucking out with some really great genetics, I think most of us either will learn to live with the skin or have removal. I really thought I would just live with it until this last 30 pounds or so and it go SO much worse. I would not let that deter you from the WLS. It is a small price to pay for being healthy! Good luck on your journey!
